The purpose of the Internal Quality Assurance System of the Agricultural University of Athens (IQAS-AUA) is to achieve high quality in the operation of the Institution, the continuous improvement of its educational and research work, as well as the effective functioning and performance of its services, in line with international practices, particularly those of the European Higher Education Area, and the principles and guidelines of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE).
The IQAS-AUA includes all the processes and procedures required by the Institution for the systematic implementation of quality assurance, aimed at improving the educational and research work carried out at the Institution, and specifically the implementation of accreditation processes for its study programs, as required by current legislation.
The scope of IQAS-AUA covers the academic accreditation of all the Institution’s study programs and the implementation of quality assurance procedures in its academic and research units, administrative services, structures, and human resources. The Quality Manual of the Internal Quality Assurance System provides a detailed account of the structure and organization of the Institution’s IQAS, describes the quality policy of the Institution, as well as the individual policies for each activity of the IQAS. The processes and procedures of the IQAS are described in detail, along with the methods for carrying out the tasks that implement the respective policies of the System. It also includes the necessary documentation and information flow forms.”
