The Foundation's member awards are annually requested by HAHE in the Annual Performance Report and they have to do with AUA members with significant recognition during the year.
According to the description of HAHE, significant recognition includes:
- Academy membership
- Award of an honorary doctorate
- Chairmanship in internationally recognized scientific organizations/societies
- Editor in chief of journals in the upper two quadrants of Scimago (Scopus/web of science)
- Award of a major/internationally recognized prize/medal in recognition of scientific work (e.g., Palmes académiques)
- State prize (literature/book, etc.)
